Friday...November 2nd

Because of everything going on in the next three months, I was curious if everyone could make a round table meeting on this day. Not sure where we will eat, but just thought I would make mention of it. Let me know.

Sixteen - Demon Hunter - Storm the Gates of Hell - Track 3

Sixteen, oh holy day
Your time has come and passed
The rapture we've been waiting for
Has come to us at last
Sixteen for every fake
Sixteen to every whore
Wipe that dirt from off your face
Sixteen is at your door

Oh, voiceless, wasted
You soaked your heart in gasoline
Now light it up and burn

The same cycle ever-turning you
Is calling, It's calling
The scene is begging for a grave tonight
It always, it always is

You take the name of love divine
And drag it through your blood
Now turn and face what you have made
And mourn what you have done

Oh, voiceless, wasted
I came this far to drag you down
And watch you take your turn

Farewell to false pretension
Farewell to hollow words
Farewell to fake affection
Farewell tomorrow burns

(I think the string section really brought this song to life. I've always really been into strings over really heavy guitar riffs. We've used them before on mellower songs, but I wanted to explore the idea of putting them in a heavy song, and I'm really glad that we did. We contacted Bruce Fitzhugh early on about doing some guest vocals on the record. We've been huge fans of Living Sacrifice for years, and it was an honor to have him contribute his amazing voice to this song.)

WHAT!!!!!! what does Sixteen mean?!?!?!?!

I don't know. It says Sixteen oh holy day you time has come and then it gets weird after that. I say we stick to the meaning we came up with. I like it better :)
(But I did like the song)

I wonder if they are referring to what John 3:16 states. Either you have Jesus or you roast in hell. Still looking in to it, but it is an idea.

well also isn't it Job 16 that cast satan out of heaven. I think, not sure, I would have to look it up. I would take 16 as Christ not Satan with
"16 Oh Holy Day"
"16 for every fake"
"16 to every whore"
"16 is at your door"

All joking aside, the words to this song are really strong and powerful. Very COOL!!!!
